The NAFOSTED has closed the call for proposals on September 14, 2012 with a total of 139 applications from 76 institutions to the funding program starting in 2013. On July 4 2012, Chairman of the NAFOSTED’s Board of Trustees signed the Decision number 26/QD-HDQLQ on the establishment of Scientific Committees in Natural Science for the mandate from 2012 to 2015. Members of all Committees are scientists with outstanding scientific achievements, who were selected based on the Foundation’s regulations, their research achievements and references from other scientists. For the mandate of 2012-2015, the Foundation has set up seven committees in following fields: Mathematics, Information Technology and Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Earth Science, Life Science and Mechanics. Only projects in Life Science will be divided and evaluated by two committees: Biology-Agriculture and Biomedicine-Pharmaceutics because of their specific characteristics.

Appointment of Director
