NAFOSTED Executive Office shall conduct financial assessment for projects in November 2020. Funding amounts for the projects, when approved by NAFOSTED Board of Trustees, will be informed to host institutions and principal investigators so that they can refine grant proposals and sign contracts with NAFOSTED (expected in January 2021).

In 2020, 27 research proposals were submitted in NAFOSTED – FWO Joint Funding Program. The submitted proposals are in various research fields, including: earth/environmental sciences; biological/food engineering; pharmaceutical chemistry; organic chemistry; theoretical physics; applied mathematics; molecular biology (plants); epidemiology; mechanics/engineering construction; computer sciences; psychology and education/ sociology. The applications went through the evaluation process from April to October 2020, in which the applications were sent to peer reviewers (04 reviewers/application) and then assessed by a Joint Evaluation Panel composed of Flemish and Vietnamese research experts (6 members on each side). |
