Ta Quang Buu Prize Nominations 2016
Introduced in 2014 for the first time, Ta Quang Buu Prize is annual hosted by Ministry of Science and Technology to encourage and honor scientists with excellent achievements in basic research in natural sciences and engineering. The Prize has attracted interest and appreciation of administrators, scientists and the whole society. Scientists communities and the press has recognized the Prize as one of the top Science and Technology highlights in 2014 and 2015.
In 2016, National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) – the standing agency of the Prize – has received totally 49 proposals. As planned, Scientific Committees organized by NAFOSTED revewed the proposals from Feb 5th to March 4th 2016. Nine (09) proposals have been nominated for the final evaluation round held by the Prize Committee (see the list below).
The Prize Committee is going to review, select and recommend scientists who will receive the Prize in April 2016. The Prize Presentation is going to be organized in Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18th 2016) in Hanoi.
