The Vietnam National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) and the University of Missouri (United States of America) will jointly organize a workshop , funded by NAFOSTED, on “Preparing and Writing Competitive Research Proposals”.

Objective:

The objective of the workshop is to assist Vietnamese scientists and researchers in writing competitive research grant proposals.

Content

The workshop will focus on the key elements that help increase the chance of a research grant proposal being accepted for funding. Professors from university of Missouri will discuss the details of specific proposals prepared by the participants and provide assistance on the completion. Promising research proposals completed by participants during the workshop will be recommended for submission to international research funding organizations. The workshop will also discuss the techniques in writing manuscripts in English for submission to international scientific journals.

Time and date:

1. In Hanoi on the 7^th and the 8^th January 2009 at the Hanoi University of Technology, 1. Dai Co Viet Str.
2. In Ho Chi Minh city on the 13^th and the 14^th January 2009 at the campus of the University of Natural Sciences, 227 Nguyen Van Cu, 5. Dist.

Registration:

The workshop is open to all Vietnamese researchers interested in the topic. Participants are encouraged to bring a complete research grant proposal and are requested to register their participation in advance before 12/15/2008
